CPI opens service centre in Bangalore for satcom customers

The US-based Communications and Power Industries Inc has opened a new service centre here for its satellite communications customers.

CPI is a leading provider of microwave, radio frequency, power and control solutions for critical defence, communications, medical, scientific and other applications.

Palo Alto, California-headquartered CPI, a subsidiary of NASDAQ-listed CPI International, Inc, is a leading supplier of high-power amplifiers for satellite uplinks.

According to a CPI statement, several of the company's key satellite communications customers are located in southern India and it has experienced an increase in demand for its satellite communications amplifiers in the region over the past few years as its releationships with these key customers have strengthened.

The new service centre is CPI's third service and support office in India for satellite communications customers; the other two are located in Kolkata and Delhi.
