Five Sri Lankan refugees have been arrested on charges of attempting to go back to the island nation by an illegal ferry service, police said today. Police patrol caught Nirmal, Sarasu, Krishnan, Suresh and Ramasamy when they were about to begin their journey from Olaikuda area here, they said. All of them were residents of Pesalai in Sri Lanka and had been put up at the Mandapam transit camp after their arrival here. A case has been registered against them for violating immigration laws.
