Orissa CM congratulates Tirkey

Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today congratulated hockey star Dilip Tirkey on being named captain of the national team for the world cup tournament.

In his message to Tirkey, Patnaik wished the team success in the championship saying the team would bring laurels and ensure glory for the country.

The Chief Minister also sent separate congratulatory messages to half backs Ignace Tirkey and Prabodh Tirkey, two brothers who have also found place in the squad.

The minister of state for sports and youth services Debasis Nayak also congratulated Tirkey on his being named skipper of the team.
