Broadlane announced today that Randolph Medical Center, Roanoke, Alabama, has selected Broadlane to provide an array of supply chain services under an exclusive agreement. Financial terms were not announced. Under the agreement, Broadlane will provide Randolph Medical Center with access to its "high-powered" national GPO portfolio for consumable supplies, capital equipment, pharmaceuticals and purchased services. Additionally, Randolph Medical Center will utilize Broadlane’s proprietary technology to help them manage their supply spend. Prior to becoming a GPO client, Randolph Medical Center participated in a Live Group Buy managed by Broadlane. In this case, Randolph Medical Center was ready to purchase a new Computed Tomography (CT) System. Broadlane’s Live Group Buy is unique in that Broadlane’s clients pre-commit to purchase from the chosen vendor and decide which vendor to buy from during a live learning and negotiation session. By participating in the Live Group Buy, Randolph Medical Center saved more than 30% over the best quotation they had solicited on their own. “It was the Live Group Buy that began our relationship with Broadlane and led to our choosing them as our GPO partner,” said Jeff Kirkpatrick, Chief Financial Officer at Randolph Medical Center.
