Syntricity Inc. announced today that Broadcom Corporation, Irvine, Calif., has successfully implemented an enterprise yield management system built on Syntricity’s dataConductor™ software suite. The Broadcom® system is based upon Syntricity’s Advanced Monitoring for Production (AMP™) application, which provides enterprise-wide monitoring and reporting for semiconductor devices released to volume production. Automated analysis flows within AMP are used to generate web-based dynamic reports for executives, managers and engineers to determine status and identify potential production issues. Within the system, engineers are able to rapidly isolate problem areas and easily navigate to Syntricity’s Power User tools for detailed root cause analysis. Using Syntricity’s dataConductor software, the Broadcom deployment includes direct, automated connections with their global supply chain including five wafer foundries and eight assembly and test suppliers. More than 25 GB of engineering data is uploaded per day and inserted into a centralized data warehouse. The typical time for data to move from the test floor to an engineer’s desk is less than 48 hours. Accessed through a web browser, dataConductor provides companies of all sizes access to a completely manageable, reliable and secure EYM system scalable to 10’s of gigabytes per day of uploaded data and multiple terabytes directly accessible on-line. "Broadcom has seen rapid success with the deployment of its enterprise yield management system using Syntricity’s Advanced Monitoring for Production (AMP) application,” said Don Bautista, director of product engineering. “With improved yields and increased profitability, we are quickly realizing payback on the system. Detailed supply chain yield comparisons have been enabled and product engineering productivity and satisfaction levels have improved greatly.” "Syntricity is pleased to support Broadcom’s vision of an integrated enterprise yield management system. We believe this initial deployment represents one of the industry's most advanced, highest performing, integrated systems for product characterization, production monitoring, and supplier management,” said Marc Friedmann, president and CEO of Syntricity. “Broadcom’s three year arrangement for access to and use of dataConductor reflects their strategic commitment to advance their leadership in this area.” About Syntricity, Inc.
