A truck carrying 250 hydrogen gas cylinders caught fire near Aslali village on the city outskirts this evening, fire brigade sources said. However, there were no reports of any casualty, the sources said, adding vehicular traffic was affected in the area due to the fire. The incident occured when gas leaked from one of the cylinders in the truck which was headed to Mehsana from the industrial town of Ankleshwar. The fire spread to other cylinders damaging 47 of them, the sources said. Fire fighters took about two hours to control the blaze. Firebrigade officials had earlier said the cylinders contained Compressed Natural Gas (CNG).
